Graduate Student Position in Insect Systematics at Northern Arizona University

The newly formed Smith Insect Biodiversity Lab in the Department of Biological Sciences at Northern Arizona University is seeking a motivated graduate student, M.S. or Ph.D., with a background in entomology and a history of academic excellence to study insect systematics starting in Spring or Fall, 2015. The taxonomic focus is open, though a candidate interested in beetle systematics and morphology would be preferred. Funding for the first two years will be through relevant teaching assistantships during the academic year and research assistantships during the summer.

Potential students should contact Aaron Smith at pimeliinae@gmail.com and include a brief statement of their research interests and qualifications. Guidelines for applying are posted here. All application materials for Spring 2015 are due by October 1st, 2014.
